The idea of putting people in the situations that they fear and giving them choices. Thanks for another great post.Emilyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13016973541553233943noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4170828505844723150.post-10048800718607303982012-02-15T07:11:16.253-08:002012-02-15T07:11:16.253-08:00Christine - That is a great idea! My think as I lay down to bed tonight will be sitting in a dark room with my protagonist and discussing different alternatives.Christine Rainshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08263694662585963900noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4170828505844723150.post-29846346513870553982012-02-14T13:27:58.352-08:002012-02-14T13:27:58.352-08:00I found a while back that I had a tendency to get ...I found a while back that I had a tendency to get lost in my characters--to explore the vast mazes of the dark room, so to speak. Consequently, much of what I wrote was heavy on character studies and lighter and plot. I found that my writing grew exponentially stronger when I explored those dark halls with my characters, wrote about it, and then focused on plot. The twists and turns showed up subtly and far more realistically. Excellent point!KLohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13955854427063032485noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4170828505844723150.post-50634052671839525242012-02-14T13:24:31.966-08:002012-02-14T13:24:31.966-08:00Excellent post, and I love this analogy! Applying it to characters is a really good idea.Kyra Lennonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13853462182450429660noreply@blogger.com
