I'm reading a novel where the MC is completely self-centred/absorbed and shallow, yet she is trying to connect with others and has good relationships, so I guess there must be more than one element at play in such a personality. :O)Madeleinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12849218685963695062noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4170828505844723150.post-30703123664835233902011-06-28T11:58:33.290-07:002011-06-28T11:58:33.290-07:00I could definitely picture someone going through t...I could definitely picture someone going through this stage in a story. The character could start out either good or evil--and it might go either way. A person who has done little harm could decide deplorable actions would be a way of accomplishing something, or an evil person could look back on their life. The Golden Eaglehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08721520451194318436noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4170828505844723150.post-62805257203367848412011-06-28T11:24:51.982-07:002011-06-28T11:24:51.982-07:00Very interesting thoughts...thanksVery interesting thoughts...thanksaprilhoythttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05992485192426728917noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4170828505844723150.post-45402651789813127122011-06-28T10:19:43.293-07:002011-06-28T10:19:43.293-07:00I think in a lot of instances we see this with the...I think in a lot of instances we see this with the kings and queens, but this is also where you get a lot of the middle class misers as well. I mean, look at Ebeneezer Scrooge or even Carl in Up. This stage has a lot of archetypes.
